Our 2026 early summer honey is something truly special, darker, richer, and packed with a robust character.
After a mild spring, the bees wasted no time getting down to business, hitting the hawthorn blossoms incredibly hard. However, Mother Nature keeps her own schedule; a decidedly wet start to June severely limited the bees' flying time, keeping them cooped up in the hives right when summer should have been peaking. Because of that truncated foraging window, this is an ultra-exclusive micro-batch: only 21 jars of this honey were produced.
Based at Lower Woods, our bees enjoy a lush, undisturbed patch of countryside that’s a little too soggy for farming but perfect for honey. Thanks to this season's heavy, concentrated focus on the hawthorn before the June rains set in, they’ve traded the usual light, runny texture for a beautifully dark amber honey with a deep, complex flavor and serious personality.
